How many people are there here who can code?

Postby MrBlack » Mon Dec 19, 2005 12:31 pm

I dunno if this will be useful or not, but I thought as we all know there are endless Uplink 2 convo's it might be worthwhile to see how many people who (still) use these forums can acctually code in C++, and furthermore how many of those have a DevCD?
As we all know Introversion certainly don't seem to be planning on doing anything more with Uplink in the very long term.
There are often enthusiastic people on the forums and plenty of ideas, but it might be useful to get an idea of resources? Ahem. Just an idea.

I have a book about programming with C++. Looks fairly easy, since I am familiar with ANSI C.

I just wish I had more time to dick around with the code, and a DevCD for code to dick around with.

Any excuse to my Bloodshed C++ developer!

Good luck with trying to get that to work with the dev cd

I can do a bit in a few programming languages, I learn what I need to know to get things done and then leave it at that and forget it.

Because you can't actually program anything in it. . .

It is a markup language (as its name states), just like XML.

Generally a programming language needs at least a condition statement ("if") and in most cases some mechanism to loop. :)
