Well, people will start finding out their A and AS level results in around 12 hours, and as forum tradition dictates, post your results (and if you know them, future plans) in here.

Just getting one module result this year, Maths C1 which I took a year early.

It's the GCSE ones which will be the killer :(.

Damn. You beat me to starting this thread :(

Anywhay, I'm getting my results for maths C1, C2, D1. Chemistry 1,2,3. Biology 2,3 and Computing 2,3.

I should be aiming for As and Bs across them all, but partially becuase of shit teaching, and partially cos I didnt do enough revision, I'm gonna get Cs and Ds across the bored, and have to resit them all :'(

That's classic.

You start off: "well, I should get an A".

Then you sit the exam

"I didn't get that question right! I'll get a B".

Then, two weeks later

"I might have got this question wrong... and I know I got that question wrong... I may have got a C!"

Then, ultimatly:

"What do I know I got right? Oh no! I'm going to get a C for sure. The worst I can get is a D! I bet I get a D!"

Boy am I glad I never have to take another exam as long as I live (having said that, I hope to start a Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy course next year, If I get the job I want: Four more years of fun!)

Apparently, that's what others in my class did..

Never got the hang of this whole "revision" thing.. I tried to just know the stuff the first time around..

Pff, I never revised for my GCSEs and did fine. Never revised for my AS-Levels, did OK. Never revised for my A-Levels... may regret this one :/

Anyway, I waiting for my final grades in Maths, Computing and Psychology, I need ABB with at least a B in maths.... oh dear :( Still, should know in 10 hours orso

Ahh, that sounds familiar! Yeah, revision is somewhat essential to success at A level, but stay confident, even if you mess it up, you can alwys get in on re-admissions.

I study at home. I never have to worry about grades and As or anything like that. I have programs to study with but i know lots about computer since i been messing with computers since i was five years. I went to a school that is suppose to be about repairing computers but i never did learn anything from there. The only good thing is that they gave me free software.

Considering what we've seen on the forums, I am beginning to doubt the educatative value of home schooling..

Personally I doubt his mental capabilites more than the method of teaching.

[edit]Ahahah, I've just noticed his sig as well, I think he's actually trying to offer help there.[/edit]

Bring back GCSE's! They were easy (5 A*s, 4 As and a B) No revision needed.

I thought the same would apply for AS levels. In January I took module on in them all. I got Bs in Biology and Computing, which I didnt resit, and Ds in Maths and Chem, which I did resit.

I know I've failed Chem 3, 'cos I only answered 3 of the questions!

Maths 1 and Chem 1 I'm fairly confident with. Bio 2+3 went quite well, should get Bs at least.

Maths 2 was alright

D1 and Computing 2 I kinda screwed, we'll have to see.

Computing 3 was alright, except I didnt have evidence for one of my things :(

Im paniking now.

I think the time for panicking may have been a few months back when you could still have some influence on your results. :D

Oh and while I'm here, a quick shout out to UCAS. Their "Track" feature for monitoring the status of Uni applications cannot cope with the traffic. It's like they didn't expect people to be checking today.

EDIT: That said, I just got on to it and from having 'Conditional Offer' on both my Firm and Insurance I've now got a red 'Accepted' over my Firm Choice Uni (AAA offer) and an 'Unconditional Offer' over my Insurance (AAB offer). So I guess I did it! :D
