Yeah, the shock you get from static electricity (ie walking across a rug and then touching a door knob) can easily be 12,000 volts, yet it is obviously not life threatening in any way. Voltage does however determine how far the spark will jump (or travel). That means that with a high voltage, just being near the source is enough to get hit, you wouldn't have to actually make physical contact with the source. Some tazer/stun guns reach nearly a million volts.

A 6 milliamp current can be lethal.

It takes about 50 volts to pass through the skin.

Yes, that's about right. But I was reading an article a little while back on a group who used to torture-kill their vitcims by threading copper wire into the bloodstream and basically hooking them up to a 9V battery.

Sounds kinda horrid to me. Then again, these sorts of people are those that I can barely call people at all.

*shrug*

Yeah, and there are stun guns that shoot a metal spike into the target, which would allow the current to bypass the skin as well.

To the guy who reccomened PowerStrip I owe you one. Do you have a Greenzap account? I'll transfer $10 dollars to it! For the past seven years each DirectX game was dark and I would have to figure out a work around for each indiviual game, finallly a universal fix! If there's any thing I can do for you don't hesiatate to ask!

There is another thing you can do. In almost every game in it´s directory there is a file called system.ini or options.ini you can open it look for brightness and it will be like 1.0 or 0.7 maybe try changing it to about 2.0 save it. make sure to make a backup file for it. and open the game.

Miah: Thanks for your input. Now go open a CRT and tell me if it hurts.

Electricity + Me = Bad. That's all I need to know.

Bullshit. If you're older than 15, I'll eat my CRT.

Oh! I take it back! Only a pro knows little tricks like that!

I should have realised I was dealing with an expert when I read your "email" thread. True genius at work.

How could anyone possibly need to check the width to see whether it was an LCD monitor or a CRT one..?
