I need to borrow the brains of all you lovely people

This may seem like a slightly strange request... but then again, when you compare it to the way I am most of the time, it's not all that surprising.

Anyway, I need some words. Any words. Preferably good ones, though. Nouns, verbs, and adjectives, of the random variety. If everybody could help, I'd be much obliged.

Oh, and anyone who posts a link to webster.com will get a slap. :P

So... uhh... just post some interesting words. Please. And I am doing this for a purpose, so it doesn't need locked. Right? Uhh... right? *whimper*

Deep Mas, real deep.
The best word is Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwll-llantysiliogogogoch. It's welsh for "The Church of St Mary in the hollow of the white hazel near the rapid whirlpool and the church of St Tysilio near a red cave."
So there. :D

Did you know that place was actually named like that deliberately to attract tourists? It's seems cheating somehow...

Thanks for the words... I was expecting something more along the lines of "Chicken, cucumber, llama, spleen," but hey - spleen, Hippopotomontrosesquippedaliphobia, what's the difference really? :P

Strengths. It breaks the standerd English rules of 1/3 letters in a word is a vowel. Its the longest English word to do so.

On the subject, what kind of twisted evil sadist would make the word "dyslexia" so difficult to spell? Hmm... probably the same person who put an S in the word "lisp."

loathed - for hundreds of years, it wasn't considered a word. Even though Shakespeare used it way back in the day

oxymoroniceoquivocater - it simply means 'liar'

antidisestablishmentarianism - a society that is against getting rid of old buildings.

bling-bling - recently added as a vaild word. Guess the chavs will need to make a new word to become more defunct again (h0h0h0)

More later (if I can be arsed)

Thanks very much people! (X, you're quite brilliantly - and worryingly - random) :D

Schumikimi: It's for something I'm starting to work on (despite the fact that my incredible 1337 coding skillz are roughly equal to those of a snail) which I don't want to go on about too much in case something happens and I never finish it. The basic idea's been used a few times before, but I'm planning to add some elements of originalty. :)

Heh heh. I remember having a two-hour argument with my girlfriend on MSN, trying to persuade her that was a point in the word antidisestablishmentarianism, and that the anti and the dis didn't cancel each other out and become unnecessary.

Yeah, I know. Looking back, it scares me too.

Ablutophobia- Fear of washing or bathing - I know people who apparently has this one :P

Anglophobia- Fear of England or English culture - where bad teeth meets bad food

Arrhenphobia- Fear of men - funnier if you are a man.

Aulophobia- Fear of flutes - worst fobia ever.

Caligynephobia- Fear of beautiful women - ok this one is just weird.

And my favorite:

Phobophobia- Fear of phobias.
There's gold in them mountains!

You're trying to argue about a word that isn't a real word and not in any *proper* dictonary?
