For the public: That's Russian. I'll try to translate roughly, though I'm not familiar with a certain slang term there (I don't know modern Russian slang all that well, considering the fact I haven't been living there for the last 14 years of my life).

Gentlemen!!! The program [Uplink, I would assume] is [don't know the term, but in the following context, I would assume it's something good], even though a bit old, but still. I'd like to know if any guys from over here [the original term means "people who came from the same place", there isn't an exact translation. I would assume he means Russia, or just the ex-USSR. Otherwise, he'd probably specify a city or region] come here [to the forum] or not! And where can I get a Russian version. If there is one.
Thanks!

As for replies:
1) I am from Belarus, Gomel. There are many others here from the ex-USSR, or who are still there. I don't remember them, though; only one who comes to mind is vladimir, but he isn't a regular.

2) There isn't a Russian version, IIRC.

I'm pretty sure Vladimir was an American with a strange taste for Vladimir vodka.

I could have sworn that said vodka was actually called Vladivar.

He was American, but I think he was originally from Russia.

IV were at some point working on a German and Russian version, but they haven't officially released either yet.

Isn't ToRmEnToR Russian (I know he is now in Israel, but I believe he is from Russia). :)

How's he going to understand that if he's Russian? I assume he can't read English as he posted in Russian.
Let's kick this bitch into overdrive.

He managed to register on the forums and apparently plays Uplink so he must have at least some understanding of English. :)

I had the exact same thought, actually. But eventually, I eralized the same thing Stew did - if he found the website, found the forum, registered, and knew where and how to post (and, as said, played Uplink at least a bit), he must know English, at least to some extent.
And if he doesn't, he'll surely post. And then I will translate what I have said to Russian.

As for Torm - yes, he is Russian, he just didn't pop in my mind back then.
