Well it was terminal's project, than DSO was turned over to some java guy (but he got banned quickly by the DS people), than tofu started working on DSO, than terminal left, and Urbanius and XmAkInA took over I think, and that's where I lost track...

Anyways, It doesnt realy matter much to whom the project belongs (right now it seems like everyone have a hand in it). I was just surprized that it's still alive...

Nanobyte Online offers more than just hacking, it has benchmarking, computer/case modding, ongame user created webpages and other stuff. Like you said, 3D is just a feature.

So basicly the difference between a racing game, and a racing game with customizeable cars.

Yes, the site is there. I'm looking at it whenever I'm not typing in this window. The forum hurts to look at, as those colours usually do that to me when my room is dark, and most of what I look at doesn't consist entirely of shades of white.

From the forum...
Only the gameplay is similar to Uplink - nothing else is. Nanobyte Online was made from scratch and the ideas for it existed way before Uplink was released.

One cannot help but wonder what the speaker thinks Uplink consists of besides gameplay.

...

Most users ever online in a day was 7 on 02-25-2005.

Uhh... most users ever online: 216? With most users online in an entire day 7? What timescale do they use for most users ever online?

Creeps, and all 216 users were spawned within less than 2 months from today! A significant milestone for Nanobyte Online indeed, the supposed predecessor of Uplink! =P

Probably, but we're just convincing ourselves to hate it before we have any evidence so that when we play it and it's great, we'll be pleasantly surprised.

Hey, wait... I just accepted it might be decent! Noooooooo!

Now see what you've done? :P
