No it's not covered by the GPL, just as most of the game is not. You'll need to request permission from Introversion if you want to use it in a Flash Animation.
You may be able to extract it from the game folder itself however.
And bump indeed.

And here it is again this time with the bonus music : http://www.megaupload.com/?d=SBUCVFV0

Re: Uplink Soundtrack
I was hunting around for a download of the soundtrack to make a minidisc of it and finding lots of dead links. I'm tickled that the one link in the thread is mine from a decade ago.
I do also have a contribution to the thread - are there any additional tracks beyond those of the bonus CD?
The current running time with nine tracks is about 45 minutes and the disc can hold 74. I'm torn as to whether to dig through mods for mods (aha) to fill out the disc or whether to just leave it as-is.

Like the the bonus cd included with the GOG purchase of the game, this archive is also missing "Blue Valley"
Can this track still be legally obtained?

Re: Uplink Soundtrack
Asking about legal availability but referencing my upload from 2010 is confusing. I didn't have permission or anything like that back then.
I've also wondered about how permissions worked originally as, AFAIK, the music wasn't created for Uplink.
The Blue Valley was created in 1995, for example.
Particularly odd is that I associate the track with Uplink and so of course it's on the MD I created - weird that it's not in that old upload of mine. In fact I'm on a train at the moment and just so happen to have brought the disc with me and it is indeed on there and I'm listening to it as I type this post!
I can fix the archive when I get home from my work trip if anyone's fussed but the MOD has been available for decades.

I believe that the game's soundtrack was previously available for free on Introversion's website. Given that this post dates back about 20 years and remains open without intervention from the admins, it appears that Introversion may not be concerned about the sharing or distribution of the soundtrack. So, I assumed that their distribution was legal.
However, for some reason, The Blue Valley is not included in the Bonus Disc from GOG or in the shared rar file here (even if not directly posted by an admin or dev). This made me think that the track might have different rights attached to it, or perhaps there was an oversight when they created the bonus disc without including the first song you hear when you boot the game.

Thank you for the link! It seems that it's alright to download the track (considering the license info).
I'll download and convert the s3m myself, so there's no need to trouble yourself.
Thanks for the very fast response; I wasn't very sure there would be an answer at all, especially in such a short time.
