world.dat still dont understand how to extract it

i have extract and decode data.dat with winzip and redshirt, but why i can't decode world.dat or how just to view what inside it???(what inside the world.dat files???)

world.dat is a redshirt encoded MP3. It is also used as validation, and is needed to get the second gamebible...

Notice... MP3, not ZIP.
ZIPs contain files.
MP3s don't contain files.
(Ok, you can hide files in them using various stenography tools, but let's not get too technical)

But if try to hide files within an MP3, you'll need special programs to get those fiels out. And I don't think that Redshirt does that.

"world.dat" is a redshirt encoded .mp3 file.

The .mp3 file is used as validation in Uplink (to verify that everything is there.)

It is also used to bulk up the size of Uplink to make it harder for warez monkeys to download and use it.

Most of that is done in the program itself, ie uplink.exe. There is no external file containing that data. However as most of that is generated dynamically when you start a new user it can be found in the .usr files.

Why don't you see if you can do better by taking the Bible in text, then somehow adding the mp3 header to it?
