I also beg to differ. My MX700 almost never needs recharging, when it does, it gives an early warning, and then doesn't need more than about 2hrs to be fully charged. I also have a spare trackball mouse wired through my KVM switch which is a back up.
I would suggest, possibly, ditch the SATA HDD and go with an IDE one, then go for the A7V8X motherboard, the next model down, for half the price. Then you might be able to afford a decent graphics card.
Spec on my near-perfect system, atm;
-A7V8X mobo
-Athlon XP 2800
-1GB RAM, either PC2700/3200
-NEC DVD burner
-Aopen CD burner
-MSI GeForce FX 5600
-Thermaltake Xaser III case with window, in black
-MX 700 mouse
-Chic black wireless kb
-5.1 sound
-802.11g networking
-15" BenQ TFT monitor

I just don't see the point of a wireless mouse when the system is well within the reach of a cord. Why be forced to even worry about it when you could have a wired mouse? Seems like it is using technology simply for the sake of technology. It is your systems so whatever, but for me I just don't see any reason to go wireless.

I'm even less of a fan of wireless keyboards, unless there is some reason for them. Generally if you are far enough away from your computer to need a wireless keyboard then you can't see the screen to type anything anyway. I actually like the old clunky keyboards since they generally have better springs in the keys and generally don't have a windows key (annoying when you hit it accidentally and I never use it anyway). I can see using wireless if you had your system setup in your room with a large monitor and nice speakers and you wanted to sit on your bed or in a nice chair and surf the web or whatever. I would like to see corded cordless mice and keyboards. That would mean they had a connection on them that would allow you to use them with cords (which would also recharge them) and then remove the cord and use them wirelessly. That would be nice in that you would never be without either because the batteries ran out or whatever.
I would recommend some random cordless optical mouse made by chic that I got, it looks like the MX700 but i have no idea what its model number is. It cost me £15 or something silly like that and I can go on for an average of about 3-4 days without recharging batts, and then i just put it on while i sleep, and i have an emergency pair of batts just in case my mouse dies and I NEED to use my computer, another set of rechargeable triple A's comes to what, a fiver?
Edit:
If you are paying that much money for a Radeon 9200 then you should have a peek at the 9800 pro on this site.
http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Products ... mbnails=No
I would put it into the single word with a hyperlink like you fancy
bastards except I dont know how.
Edit Edit: Infact if you check out the whole of that website, you can save a fair bit of money, then maybe upgrade the memory you got in there and still keep under the budget. Perhaps some DDR400 and i think the highest it goes is PC4000 at the moment, but dont hold me to that.

I love wireless keyboards, as I can easily have them on my lap or use them as a remote for watching films/listening to music.
Wireless mice may be an extravagance, but then again, I can afford it - sue me.
I would recommend - Aria, Ebuyer and Micro Direct for parts.
Don't bother with a Radeon 9200.
Also, the comment about it having 128mb or RAM is bollocks - a card like that is too shite to need that much RAM on it - it's pretty much for marketing purposes as people tend to think "128mb card is by definition better than 256mb card". Wrong. A GeForce FX 5900 with 128mb onboard RAM is better than a GeForce FX 5600 with 256mb onboard RAM, capicé?
