But there is another question, how do you know it was one of the member on this forum?

If your moderators did hack your forums, you should monitor for a while and see if they can log in because if the administrator is hacked, moderators are likely to follow.

The culprit said in a particular part of the forum "an even worse spammer than deepsmeg" Which indicates they frequent this forum, particuarlly someone who does not like me and deepsmeg. Think of anyone?

All I can say is *FUCKING LOL*.

Your forums get attacked, so you stamp your foot and scream about it.

"Own up! Own up! Or I'll get you all put in jail!"

1 - Although it's possible to catch the person who did it, what's the point? It's not like someone broke into a big company's site, they broke into *your* site. Big deal. No one cares.
2 - If you're not careful on the net, shit like this happens. If you entrusted other users with power when you've only known them for a little while, what do you expect?
3 - Why bother your lawyer? What are they going to do?
Depending where the person is, the Computer Misuse Act may well not apply and so what they have done isn't recognised as a crime by their govt.

And lastly

And I must ask, what IS your reason for doing this, does it make you feel good to see that you've screwed up hours and hours of work, I spent more time dedicated to that forum than you have spent dedicated to anything in your life, probably,

Beno, judging by your age, a large number of us will have dedicated more time to loads of different things. Don't get important to you and important to anyone else confused.

Right, I'm off to make a comic about this..

I see, you will have to ask deepsmeg then. But for now, let the law deal with the culprit and get on with your future. :)

<Edit: Try searching for people who claimed to be able to hack. Then work on from that.>

Not another comic, especially when I'm pissed off about this.
<edit> most of them were stupid phonies saying being able to do "ping 127.0.0.1" makes them an ace hacker.

I don't recall there being a law against me making another comic..

I really ought to have breakfast an sort out my nosebleed before I make that comic, but rest assured, there'll be a comic.

Please wait till this has been sorted out so I don't get even more pissed off and go on a spam spree. How did you get a nosebleed, anyway?

I woke up at about 9.30am and found I was about to have a nosebleed. So I did.

I don't get nosebleeds any other way. People aren't stupid enough to hit me.

What did you dream? It might explain what you did when you were sleeping before you woke up.

In the end there is little that can probably be done, this happens all the time and in then end all you will end up doing is annoying several people by winging about them owning up...

and why did you suddenly accuse coolsi? pointing fingers does nothing. Anyway you can probably find out who the hacker was but it's doubtful that you can take action on them. Somwhere between 100 and 100,000 sites get hacked a day it's too common to do much about.

Do you wake up with that horrible, aching pain in your nose, and have a nosebleed after? I used to get that.

Never heard of it. Just push some tissues up your nose, drink some water.
