Now, in order for me to start saying, ahh, p = e, you need the percentage to be higher than that, as e is the most frequent letter that we use in teh english language, but thats at approx 12%. p only hits 8% of the time in that, so I can't really draw the conclusion that its just a simple cypher text. Please correct me if I'm wrong, or push me in the right direction if thats where I was heading...

No, it's not a simple substitution cipher, maybe he's using two symbols for each letter. anyway, I think it's a software encryption, and not a simple pen-paper one.

IF he was using two symbols per letter, then we should see at least one repeat, considering that you can't write that much without having one of the letters repeat.

I modified my script to pick up groups of two combos, but it found none, suggesting that each symbol must be a letter.
