Ami: no, i'm saying there is no distance in (0,20) if 20 doesn't exist.

In responce to 6 above: Scientists have explored that possibility, a warp so great that it in effect pinches off some spacetime.  Its an interesting idea, but nothing has been found to really support it yet though.  :)

that wasn't the point...

the points exist on a graph.

the space between them exist

there is nothing in that space

SBM: If space can warp and curve as much as we think, there is nothing so stop it from curving more.

Ami: so (0,5) don't have 1 and 2 and 3 between them? how odd...

You don't know that.  Until we have some proof of this there is no way to make such statements.  :)

BAH! thats not fair! you want me to start talking hebrew???

SBM: no, but until there is no proof it can stop this type of curving, no one can deny it.

No K'ar'iy... PM me next time

Coldfire, it's rather simple. The DEFINED points are "matter" and the undefined point are just space...

There is nothing there you can feel... in that space

That is not the way science works.  There is not proof of that type of event happening.  You can just as well say there is an invisible planet orbiting the moon, with highly unorthedox gravetationaly implications making it impossible to detect, not one can disprove that so of course it must be true. . .

I think you've got your burden of proof backwards.

I might be wrong though. Triple negatives really throw me off.

Ami: thats not nothing. if we consider space for a moment (the space that is ties with the universe) we think there is nothing there, but if we look closely we will see photons and other particles traveling inside that 'nothing', and we believe dark matter is there as well...

now the universe is not infinite, it ends some place (or we'd have infinite matter on our hands, and there would be chaos), behind that place there is nothing, if you show me a place except space with nothing at all, that would not exist aswell. anything where matter is, small bits of matter can be found. Im not even going to ask what you wrote before, I can understand that those weren't pleasentries..

SBM: no i meant that no one could disprove it so it MAY be true.
