Anyone know the meaning of life? I beleive we are here to waste all the resources on earth and bring new people into the word for them to do the same.

I think it's to convince the whole world that it's humanity causing the holes in the ozone layer and global warming, despite volcanoes produce more CO2, and the temperature of earth has steadily increased since we bothered to record it.

I believe there is no meaning of life, as there is really no meaning for anything.
Still, the meaning of your life is whatewer you want it to be.

As pointed out by Coldfire26, greater minds have pondered it for many centuries, I honestly doubt that those of us in here could come close to it's true meaning, and that's even if there is a meaning.

As I said, I seriously doubt anyone could ever tell you the meaning of your life.
And if he/she did it, would you really accept that and live your life that way?

But the question is 'What is 6x9?' So in fact having the answer is the easy bit.

As for the more serious point.  Well, to think that things do or even should have a meaning is so quaintly human.  Why?  Why should there be a meaning?  Simply to make us feel better because to believe that a random set of circumstances is all there is is a little disturbing to us.  Hence religion.
Sorry guys and girls.  This is it.  No meanings no logic just being here.  Make the most of it it's all you get.

Well there are many complications in this question.

* How do you define "meaning"?  Is it what life is ultimately supposed to accomplish?  Is it what life is supposed to be?  etc. . .

* Is this limited to human life, or all life in general?

The most obvious answer is that life is supposed to live (and in so doing affect a chemical and physical change in the universe).  This is of course ambiguous and unhelpful, but true nonetheless.  Another is that life's purpose is to reproduce or in someway insure the continuance of life.  I guess the real question is to what ends.  I tend to the idea that there is no end, only a continous process in which meaning is defined by progress, but that's just me.  :)

Yes, the question veries to what you define as 'purpose' or 'meaning'. well, because life is infact infinite by nature it is not very possible it 'sturggles' or even tries to maintain it, it is simply the fact that it can't go away, even if it 'tries'.

purpose, obviously goes to the total existence of the universe (possible multiverse).

Life is not infinite, that doesn't even make sense.  Life could very well go away, there is no magic force protecting it.  :)

Well, i define life, as the life of the universe, the existence.

i wonder where life would go when it goes away, perhaps into a place called 'away'?, unless you can prove that something turns to nothing life can't just go away, even if it has the will to do it.

That is a very non standard definition of life.  You can use whatever definition you want obviously, but you look rather silly using that one (as it so far from what is the accepted definition).

Well here's a thought for you. Human beings contain a lot, and I do mean a lot of energy. Yet when we die, for the most part, it just dissappears, like a light being turned off. Now as we all know energy cannot be created or destroyed, only changed from one form into another, ie mass, heat, light etc. So when you die where does all your energy go? Some of it dissapates but most of it just goes *poof*. You could hypothesise that we can't track this energy, that it may go on to another form, perhaps even another plane of reality as we know it. An afterlife perhaps? Just something for you to all consider.
