Its not always like that. there are factors that dictate otherwise. (its still MUCH bigger than any nuclear reaction we know of)
I rock, and let no one tell u otherwise! :P

Congrats Mas_Tenga...

For those who wonder why I congratulate him... highlight my whole post...

And as for Coldfire26 - there are no factors that say otherwise. its like having 1 and subtracting 1. everything is gone. just in this case its converted purely into energy...

There are certain factors that dictate otherwise, such as extreme gravity, the time it takes to decompose, etc.

2) throw it about? any amout of matter combined with any amout of anti-matter immediatly dissapates 100% of its mass into energy. you can't get anti-mater not to react without containment in a magnetic field [although it is inversed of matter, it still can be affected by magnets]

actually, I think if you make it work like the J.E.T. Fusion chamber, you could "throw" it about...

Nevermind, the change is practiaclly non-existent.
if you'de really want to know though, combining Matter + anti-matter = Energy, however the amount of energy doesn't depend solowly on mass, if you through an iron ball on a sackfull of feathers, (the ball being anti-matter and the feathers being matter) both with the same mass the energy outout will be slitely diffrent (not in a measruable scale though).

containment in a magnetic/gravitational field is truely the only way to hold anti-matter. if twhe world uses its entire resourse pool it can generate maybe 1 gram of anti-matter (perhaps more) but the containment of it is quiet diffrent.

Exactly what the J.E.T. does, which brings me to my next arguement...

Matter inflicts gravity
Radiation inflicts higher gravity, though it's volume is so small and it so fast that it doesn't have a great effect on matter
Matter inflicts gravity
Wouldn't Antimatter inflict a quintessence of sorts?

Create Antimatter?
I thought antimatter, like matter and energy couldn't be created or destroyed; only converted

If you were commenting on Coldfire's post, I think he meant combining all the little individual bits of Antimatter into one larger lump...

Just a guess

I took it to mean convert matter and energy into anti-matter.  It seemed fairly obvious to me, but that is obviously just me.  :)

Can we use floppy disks to make anti-matter?

It has been interesting to watch the "evolution" of this thread.

Doing that, if even possible, would take more energy then it's worth...

Yes, it is possible to convert anti-matter, andi t has been created already. but in such amounts and given it's energy, you don't really need it.

Neo101: BUT WHY??? ITS SO MUCH FUN!

Have any documentation on that?
