It's been a while since I made a post pimping mods on Modlink, so here ya go!

WolfLord has just released his new and improved version of the uIRC, made with the Dev CD. It fixes a whole load of bugs, including the whole not working on 98 thing (which means it now DOES work on Win 98! Huzzah!). It also fixes a bunch of other bugs and adds some new features to make it a bit more robust.
NeoThermic has also made an alteration to the font that Uplink uses, making the / actually appear as such, rather than an l. Very useful for those using the uIRC.

Agito also finished his Uplink improvements mod, boasting a bunch of additions and improvements to Uplink, including some things that have been requested since the game was released. A very nice piece of work indeed.

So there you go. I probably wont make another one of these for a while, so enjoy it ;)

trust me: there are LOTS more benefits in upgrading from win 98 to XP than the IRC client... (shudders at the thought of yet anohter day on win 98)

It's about time uIRC got fixed. Has the bug involving the length of the channel topic been squashed?

98se was great.
Full dos support, minimal memory usage.
With some memory management utilities, memory leaks stop being an issue.

Memory useage? lol just kill an non-needed services and laugh while only using a parlty 25mb of ram.

DOS support? well, you have Semi-got me there, but all I do is boot to a boot disk, and use NTFS2DOS to play any DOS games or apps I have knocking about.

Memory leaks? No, I would lay money on it that its not the OS. I've been running XP for about *nearly* 3 weeks on a P200 with 64mb ram, and its not leaked out at all.

Have fun with my fonts mod... its quite nice, even if you dont plan on using the builtin IRC.

Having problems with XP?  Try this site, it really helped me out.

I thought that it was really nice of Black Viper to put all that time into putting that table together.

Is there any memory there to leak? ;)
