I have only lost twice(yes, i kno, 2 times too many). Anyways, I was wondering if there was an easier way to restart than having to find the stupid CD Key thing again, and again. I clicked on my defeated user and instead of the end game information, they allowed me to restart from the begining with my user name. I tried this again and it only comes up with the end game screen. Anyone know the answer? Thx in advance.

Well, a simple trick would be to make a new user and move the file somewhere else, then whenever you want to make a new one just copy it back.

Yes, but making a new user would require me looking up the CD KEY thing again, which is what I am trying to avoid.

*edit* ohhh, I see what you are saying, Ill try that, see if the game allows that.

oh fuck off morons.... why do you have to insinuate that someone has an illegal copy of uplink, yes it might be true, it might not, what harm does it do to you.

He didn't say he'd lost the code card, he just said he was to lazy to get up, find it and find the code :P

The easiest way to avoid this is not to lose :P

I have to agree it is rather anyoing to have to enter the  code every time you start a new game. I would have prefered a one time code entry, either when you install or the first time you start the game. Rather then having look up a code every single time you start a new character.

but that would just lead to the leaked security-code on the net... or even a key-gen... which would be even more pointless
