I actually like Blair, although the whole Iraq thing was done very poorly.  Bush on the otherhand continues to amaze me more and more everyday.  I really am at a loss for how one man can cause so many problems, and solve so few (spending god knows how much of my money in the process).

Hehe.

In my opinion, it's tantamount to treason to hope that your fairly elected (bush may not be, but definitely blair is) leader dies.

If you want two leaders of the free world to die, you should be chatting to Al Quaeda.

I believe Bush is much more dangerous than Bin Laden or Saddam could ever hope to be.  Sad thing is he doesn't relize that, and most Americans seem blind to it as well.

This is a democracy, not monarchy (in general, all 3 countries (I'm from australia) are democracies).  If someone is shit, people want to throw them out.  Sometimes they are so shit that people think they should be locked up or something.  I don't think that something like that is treason.  Something like betraying secrets or something to an enemy (I dunno what would be an enemy atm though), if you are in a position of trust would be treason imo.  For example, just because I was born here, doesn't mean I owe any loyalty to this country.  I just happen to like it here :)

About your point about Al Queda, although I can see some of their points, I disagree with others, and totally disagree with their methods.  I think it's pointless and irrelevant to bring them into this conversation.  I think we all agree that Bush, maybe Blaire, and definatly John Howard (if you knwo him) are doing a really bad job.  Unfortunatly in the cases I know of, there isn't really a hugely better candidate.  But just joking that someone shoud die is in no way treason.

Incidently - does anyone know how you *should* spell
Al 'Queda,
Al Queda,
Al Quaeda
etc?

When converting between alphabets, I believe any is appropriate. Just make sure it sounds right.

IMHO (hope to god no one flames me for this) we really should try to forget about 9/11. Mourning is okay, but it's really not healthy to let it go on too long. My sympathies go out to those who lost friends or relatives on that day, but I did that last year and hundreds of thousands of relatives have been lost since.

It's a new day, and it's time to move on.

<wax=eloquent>

As an aside, I am appalled that our unscrupulous administration would use our sympathies to accomplish their ends. Bush would like to be acting for the families of victims of 9/11, but really, judging on what I've read/heard, for the most part the last thing they want is for thousands more to suffer in the name of their dearly departed.

It is not their vengeance that causes the people of Baghdad to be without power or clean water, or the women of Afghanistan to say that under the Taliban, at least they were safe from rape, or that each day someone's son, husband or father comes home in a bag.

It is Bush's.

Who are we to remember this day, that we may stoke the furnaces of the New American Century?
