School

That's right, folks. It's the first day of school. In exactly 6 hours and 7 minutes as of this posting I'll be waking up to (maybe) shower, (hopefully) eat breakfast, (probably) fall back asleep face down in my Cheerios, and (definitely) be booted out the door to catch the school bus at a time no rational adolescent would consent to be thinking of gaining consciousness.
Wish me (and every other like minded teenager facing the same fate this morning) luck. We'll need it to function on the amount of sleep we're gonna get.
Good night. Morning. Whatever.

This is why I love college. If you're too tired to go to a lesson, you don't. You sleep in the common room and get the notes from someone else. Or you have the day off.

my feeling's kinda mixed. yeah i hated waking up early in the morning only to fight for first right to the bathroom with my brother, then i had to wear knee-high school uniforms that easily gets blown by the wind (a real treat to them guys), and i had to catch the bus or else i end up taking the taxi.
other than that, i really liked being in class, learning cool stuff, wreaking havoc to the guys and our dean's computer, and just being around with my friends in the library or the mall.

The government DOES test people. In 8th, 10th and 12th grades we take the MCAS test, which makes sure that all Massachusetts schools are teaching the same homogenized crap all year long, and if we fail we don't get our degree.
But that's not it- the school's funding depends on our MCAS scores. Of course, our budget is already being cut close to the throat, we shouldn't have a problem with that. But trust me, this school is real cool compared to the government education system in general.

there is a difference between being intelligent and being smart.
while you can be super intelligent, if you wont learn anything, you'll waste your brain-powaa, for you wont have much information to process...

as much as I hate school in some ways this year we start our GCSEs and I have some half decent teachers and im with all my friends. I also got to be with all my friends and the teaches include a biology who wears contact lenses which make him look like some sycopath serial killer and he can be quite comical at times and I get 6 ICT lessons a week and 3 GCSEs for it.
