Quote: from Rkiver on 11:23 pm on Sep. 8, 2003[br]Well, no offense intended btw, Kronus, I think what he is implying is that being able to edit someone elses code is no big deal, but being able to create the virus yourself, after finding the exploitable faults, is something you can boast about.

True, very true, but I don't do that I only edit/recreate programs so they wouldn't have any faults unlike Microsoft (who, may I add copycats a source code w/o changes and makes it your own) I only find faults and fixes them (and of course I keep a copy and use it for my own ideas)

P.S. This is a paradox script for those who are not well skilled.
*cough Jackmn*cough*

If you can't write something as small as a buffer overflow exploit without buggering up, you don't deserve a computer.

You seem to misunderstand what a script kiddie is. A script kiddie uses or modifies somebody elses exploit.

Now, who here would do something like that....?

Why would anyone want to create a buffer-overflow anyway?  YOU, I think, are the script kiddie. Yes, I believe Kronus may be one too, but you're mis-understanding the whole point of the word "script kiddie".  Script kiddies argue for no damned reason, and think they're "l337".  I believe that you think you are l33t, and find it exhilerating to keep correcting* Kronus and putting him off. How about you both shut the hell up.

(Edited by Farimir at 3:58 pm on Sep. 9, 2003)
One, mind yourself around regulars.

Two, did I ever say I've written a buffer overflow exploit, fucktard?

No. No I didn't.

Kronus is an idiot, idiots get flamed. That's how a messageboard works.

So, your entire post is useless drivel.

Maximum quotes achieved =(

1. Quit being a fucking idiot, and maybe I'll respect you.

"Fucking idiot". How ingenius.

Regardless, I've done nothing wrong. I've flamed an idiot, and insulted you when you misquoted me as having created a buffer overflow exploit.

It almost makes your statement ironic, doesn't it?

Better than the infamous use of: "Fuckwit" isn't it?

Farimir, I'm starting to put you into the same basket as most of the noobs here.  Who *you* respect is not the issue here.  You should be the one trying to get respect, to become part of the community.  You just seem to be flaming regulars, and sort of taking the side of some little idiot who claims to have modified the blaster worm.  If he has or not is irrelevant, either way he is an idiot.  Just one way he is an idiot who should get his arse kicked and thrown in jail.  I suppose a good arse kicking wouldn't hurt either way though.  bah ranting :P  tired

Anyway, my advice is to turn him in if he has done what he says he has, cause I'm not sure of the laws in the us, but I'm pretty sure that if you don't you are at least partly responsible.

Bah, noobs these days... making me go off on 5am rants

Except I didn't use 'fuckwit', and my posts had some substance to back the insults up.

Knowledge of a crime makes you an accomplice, even if you don't associate with the person at all. If you know that a criminal act is going to take place (and that it is a criminal act, of course) and do not report it to the authorities, you're guilty of accessory to whatever.

Farimir, I really have to agree with Jackmn on this one. Respect your elders and betters. The way to gain respect from a (this) community is really not to go around asking the Vets to beg for your respect. You command no respect. You mean nothing to us, and until you do something worthy of our respect you will continue to mean nothing to us.

If you argue with Jackmn, it is NOT an argument of equals in the sense that the forum's sympathies lie on his side. If you were to raise good points in a polite manner, you could command some degree of attention, but as it is you don't have a change.

Shape up your act. This is not your average online community; it's largely a forum of intellectuals. Treat us as such and you may well gain the right to that single dot under your name.

I just gave you the dignity of adding your name to my dictionary... Hope you're happy with that.

What you and bgreene don't exactly realize is .. for one: I'm not a newbie. For two, Jackmn may post here a lot, but he is one of the funniest kiddies I have ever encountered.  As for everyone else, you all never cease to amaze me with all your nonsense. :D

Well lets see... 10 posts... complete contempt for respected members of the community... lack of use of the Edit button...

Explain to me how you draw the conclusion that you're not a newbie?

I think this topic should be locked. It has turned into a tit-for-tat flame war between faramir and, erm, everyone else.
