Don't be dumb. I am an American; I love being an American; I can take a joke.
Our president is about as bright as a jar of mayonasse; the guy thought the Nation of Islam was a country. If any one of us can find Canada on the map, that is all well and good, maybe next year we will elect someone who can do the same. If people want to bash Americans, I say we have erned it. Bring it on. I am offended by you Rwaite5687 and many of my fellow Americans who put country above humanity.
If at first you don't succed, find a bigger hammer.

Bash our government, not the americans that live here.  90% of our solders in Iraq wish they never signed up for the military.  They were told, that squds would come in to relive them once we seized control of Iraq.

They were actually givin dates to go home, and our government went back on its word.  Now the same squads are there "indefinatly" though the summer months, while thier familiys wait at home, And thier buddys get killed.

It was joke. . .  Have you ever seen JayWalking where Jay Leno goes out and asks people on the streets easy questions and gets some of the silliest answers.  There are Americans who have no clue about where they are on a map, nevermind Canada.  There are people in the UK like that as well, and every other country in the world.  I just hope we can keep a sense of humor about things, its really unhealthy to take everything so seriously.  :)

Liquid Data: I heard it was more along the lines of Norway not being part of the single currency, and nothing else further East having it, so they just cut it off there

Yes, that would be the correct explaination. :) Boring, isn't it? But it still looks extremely funny the way it is. Why didn't they just add the borders of the whole continent - including non-Euro countries - and highlight those that are using the new money? People are so illogical sometimes... :P

*decides to let the Americans handle the whole OT discussion about their gouvernment and sneaks away in silence*

How did this thread go from being about amusingly shaped countries to american bashing? oh the confusion of the internet.

Also, do you think saying that you're a federal agent will somehow calm everyone down? strikes me as a somewhat pointless statement but then again so does this one.

yay.

Hehe.....

....yah, well, just be glad that the Euro doesn't have a red ring around that area.

And to be honest, I'm German and never met a Scandinavian yet....

...so I guess I can laugh safely

How odd, this went from funny shaped country on a coin to American bashing, no American non-pride, and then back to funny shaped country again. I'm amazed we make sense to each other lmao. But seriously, there are too mnay kinds of people in every country to put them all under one heading. I'm British and there are some serious dumb people in Uk too lol such as those idiots who enjoy smasing the telephone boxes. So lets not do anymore self hating if we can lol and for the record, I know where Canada is. lmao
