can anyone tell me why you so called moderators keep deleting my post abut the titan collection. the titan collection is not in any way illegal and as far as i am ware does not containa copy of uplink, so please give me a good reason for you deleting my post.........

the titan collection is a collection of mostly freeware and some of the old classic games.

Does it have anything to do with uplink...... as that might be a reason why they keep closing/deleting your threads

I find it hard to believe that Ice or PB would delete a thread just because it's not uplink related.... close it maybe, but not delete it.

From what I have heard the Titan Collection borders on (or is) warez like. That would be a valid reason for deleting the thread. Also the thread was a rather silly, vague if memory servers, so there is a second reason. :)

Woah, blimey, calm down! The internic password remover only changes your userfile, not the game, so I very much doubt it's illegal...

Actualy, IV have given implicit consent by not closing said topics. Since its their software they have the ability to do that. Other peoples software they have no rights over.

And since mod teams on every game basicaly survive on the concept of implicit consent, dont go pointing out that it has no basis in law. We know that.

Actually I am not sure it is. It is generated by the game in responce to your actions. If that falls under copyright then Microsoft would have control of all the documents that are made using MS-Word. Adobe would have control over all pictures edited with Photoshop, etc. But more to the point the fact IV has the right to decide what constitutes a breach of its copyrights and licenses so it can decide to allow things like the InterNIC Password Remover. IV cannot decide what constitutes a breach of someone elses copywrite or license and can be held responcible for promoting such infringement. :)

NO THAT BULLSHIT BECAUSE MS WORD DOES NOT NEED A DPCUMENT CREATED BY IT TO WORK. BUT TO A CERTAIN EXTENT UPLINK RELIES ON THE .USR FILE TO WORK ON A CERTAIN LEVEL. but nevr mind that we are drifting from the point i was making. now someone tell me why my post got delted?
