I know that this thread is over a month old and I know that Im probably going to get slated for this but I have a suggestion.  Why cant you give the power to close down a thread to the person who started it? That way if it starts going in a direction they dont like ie. a flame war, they can close it down of their own free will

That creates a fairly large security hole and also is not supported by this board anyway.  Also closed threads look bad and are incovinient, the fewer the better.  :)

Heh, I did put a little smiley at the end.  It wasn't stupid, I was simply pointing out a few of the problems with it.  :)
