Rumours about Uplink on the net???

Was just browsing about the net when i found a page of Uplink cheats. Bored out of my skull, i decided to have a look and see what was on it. I only expected to find the cheat code and the gamebible 1 code, but i also found something about being able to buy a piece of software called "Cheats". Is it actually possible to get it, or made up?

The page is here. The bit im talking about is about 3/4 way down the page.

The cheat where you enter that as your username (the 'fast' way) used to work before v1.2. The other one about getting access to all the machines is interesting, I've never heard it before, but I don't think that would work.

Look on the back of the box and convert the strange line into
the first 3 letters of a 5-sided shape.

5 sides? Idiot.

And the bank hacking isn't really cheating. In fact, no, it's not cheating at all.

I know the rest arent true, but ive never seen the other one before, not even here. was just wondering if anyone else had come across it.

As there is no admin on the Protovision server I would assume that this is a joke, but I guess until someone tries it we won't know for sure. :)

firstly, you would have to be really dumb to not know that the pass for the uplink test machine is rosebud, and Cris himself says that the introversion server is 128.128.128! and anyway, go to http://modlink.cyberkotik.com (i'm putting this on so many posts, i'll probably put it in my sig later)

what would you do on the net beside trade softare and sell/buy software online???

I have tried it with my current user, but he already has readwrite access to the GCD and a valid user account on the stock market. It didnt work and Im a little too lazy right now to start a new char to try this out. Besides a new char cant even hack the GCD without a fast comp to crack the Elyptic thing. Not to mention the trace starts when you do so you would also need a hudconnection and a monitor bypass

I am going to research the "hard" cheat mode right now, using a new user. Will take me a few hours to complete and I will post all information I find here. Wish me luck

As cheats are disabled in the latest patch, you would likely need to reinstall Uplink and not patch it. :)

umm this is very weird because in canada your so called hexagram is actually called a pentagone.. thats why i was all f**** while trying to deconde. umm by the way there is a way to buy the cheats software.. i have it
