I had once a virus that couldn't be removed normal ways.. I had Norton Antivirus what couldn't remove it and so on but then I went to Norton web site and searhed for a virus by the name of the file.. found it and there were step by step instructions how you can get rid of it.

PS. Switch to KaZaA Lite :)

if your friends computer is connected to a Lan , then you can access it though on of the other terminal's (like i do with my brother when he had simmaler problems) and delete or antivirus the computer  from a "local" terminal

if not then try looking on the Major antivirus  websites for more help

Some shareware files have a habit of being write protected. The reason why they can't be deleted is so that you don't restart the evaluation period.

Just a quick tidbit for all the rest of you Uplink fanatics, Uplink is <a great game - einstein>.  .  Why?  Because though I like to get free games, Uplink deserves so much more respect, almost as much as alcohol and coffee.  Do not flame me...I want to go back and have a chat with that guy.  I'll let y'all know who it is if ya want, when I find him.

EmDaY, that isn't always that easy, in my case that wouldn't have helped at all :P

One way is to start windows in safe mode do a ctrl+alt+del and make sure no strange processes are running and then delete the file(s).  Also search the registry for the file name and delete anything related to it.  :)

KaZaA's names = "Pussy playground"
"The warez playground"
"The peodophile play"
and many other assorted titles post them here.

I don't give a damn what anyone else think's of KaZaa, cause I can find just about anything I need on there, as long as I know what it is I need (and having an AV is a must!).  I've saved at least hundreds of hours using KaZaa instead of searching for what I need on websites.
KaZaa isn't just warez central, it's got legit uses as well.

Pfft, newsgroups and irc have anything you need.
(Not that I download or condone warez)

The only reason i know of a file being undeletable is that it is running and thus cannot be removed, or it is self duplicating (using another file) and finally a registry key has been altered... all of which can normally be fixed by following a step by step guide on the major AV websites (once of course ur AV has identified at least the viruses name!)
