Doesnt anyone else find it suspicious that the guy died in the same area, same kind of place, playing the exact same game?

It may have been an epileptic seizure. Or... they were playing Diablo II. Maybe it was the Devil.

Ah hahahahaha, thats so stupid... I think Diablo II must have some subliminal messages telling poeple to die or something :P

On a more serious note... I don't think it's the fact that he was on a computer was the problem, more the fact that he was doing the same thing for so long, like a long haul flight. Could of happened if he was reading a book.

Remember you should take a short break every 5 mins (just looking away from your computer & stretching) and a proper break ever 20 mins (so your body doesn't think it's dead :P)

I think anyone who is dumb enough to spend hours playing a game non stop deserves to die. I never spend more than 1 hour playing any video game without moving, taking a piss, or getting a soda or something junk food related.

This is not the only suppossed video game related death I've heard about. One mother who had a son that played Everquest for over 12 hours a day. He had a history of mental illness and one day after playing for a long time as normal he killed himself. The mother sued sony blaming them for him killing himself. Thank god she lost the case.

Another case I heard about was that a man in Florida was sent to jail for about 15 years I think for killing his infant son. He was playing Everquest and locked his son in the closet so he wouldn't interupt Everquest.

Just proof that people take games too seriously and need lives.

I heard a story a few months back that a guy in S. Korea died after 86 hours of playing virtually non stop.
Another guy in Taiwan died after doing the same but for 32 hours. Now this guy in Hong Kong. Something tells me this problem currently seems to be in Asia. Possibly because people play more and for longer there?
And why are all the deaths in cyber cafes and game centres and never at home?
5 hours is a scarily short time though.

I routinely pull 13 hours on the PC, and I don't die.

My record is 14 hours on one game, Wing Commander 3. Played the whole thing in one day :P

Jumper: If you really do pull 13 hour stints at the computer, then I suggest that you need to find something better to do with your time.

I once did 20 hours on my computer at one sitting. I died at the end of it...

Then, miraculously, the radiation from my monitor made me undead! Now... I need to bath in it's glow for at least 6 hours a day to stay unhealthilly dead and moving. If I don't my flesh starts to decompose and that's just not nice.
