Would you believe I've got to stay in after school until 10:00 for every day next week (including a school holiday) to shift lights and scenery - possibly including a weekend? Ooh, ooh and that's not the best part. The BEST part is that I'm not allowed to use this as an excuse for not doing homework (or doing it badly). I'm staying after school until 10:00 and I then have to do over an hour of homework - and do it WELL?!?! Oh, and let's not forget the 40 minute journey back. And it's not even a bloody punishment! ARRGHH!!!!!

At my school, we have 'Period 8 activities'. I chose lighting, but it's a bit of a misnomer (the senior boys do all the lighting, we shift lights around). They're called Period 8 activities because they're supposed to be restricted to the last period on Monday, maybe going on for a bit after school. Supposed to, anyway. Unfortunately, it means that the after school stuff's also compulsory, even though we don't do anything except move lights/scenery/stage blocks/etc.

i have 8 periods, and i prefer that to 5. it means that all the lssons are shorter, so you have less of each torture.

besides, isnt it only for a week?

it could be worse...

you could be hated by everyone ion your school including your so called 'friends' and half the teachers too but for no good reason. yoiu could have no hopes or dreams because theyve all been crushed. you could spend all your life alone.

now THAT is horrible. or so im told. *cough*

So, I was in a play 2 years ago.

Had to rehearse after school 3 times a week, and weekends and stay late loads of times. At least I was in the play though...  ;)

I am in school 24hrs a day, nyah!
I go to boarding school...
I have to go to bed at 10.15 every night..
Oh well
I am writing this from our IT room, bloody slow internet there.
Urk.
My printer isn't working, I have a Spanish coursework for this Friday and a maths, chem and physics courseworks for 2-3 weeks, I have hardly started any of them, plus there is ordinary work to do..
Why bother going to school that week then? leave at lunch, get your parents to call your school and tell them where to shove the activity <get them to say it is not possible for them to pick you up or something..>.
Urk.

Like I said, it's compulsory. Plus I'm locked into it for three years. Bad luck Widow Demon, I know exactly how you feel. Don't worry though, just focus on getting through life until you can get rid of the subjects you hate. You might not be able to change the world, but you can still lead a happy life (once you're out of school).

Thats not bad, when I went to skoo I had detention everyday. Then at _reform_ skoo the principle thought he was some kinda author and made the people who had detention sort, package and store all his books. I could've swore it was slave labor.

Don't worry, I have to put up with the same thing, although at first it wasn't compulsory. We're doing Bugsy Malone (Good fun, I play O'Dreary), but I have to stay in school for ages, and I live about 15 (no kidding) miles from our school, so I stay until six and only get home at about 25 to seven. AND I have to get up at 6:30 every morning to get there.

Still, strike day off tomorrow. YAY!

Well, I got a putanne 50 on a French test today, and found out there's very little chance of me getting into MIT.
I think I've got you beat.
