hi everyone. I've just recently gotten hold of Uplink from my local games store, and I gotta say I'm impressed. I just thought I'd say hello to you all...

hey coldfusion. Good website :)

Can anyone tell me why the game seems to be running really slowly now that I've installed the patch, and is there any way to speed it up?

Give it a rest lattera.
Timtim, turn off the load last used thingy on the options, as it doesnt work on the ULC, and email phyreskull with the error message.
peternar: try deleting the opengl32.dll file from the uplink directory (make sure you back it up first so you can replace it if it doesnt work)

I get it all the time. Phyreskull's working on it... ;) You just have to wait until the next version. :)

And cheers peternar, the site's now got updated (well the forum has anyway ;))

okay this is an odd one... HAs anyone come accross this?

I have 2 PC's one that runs XP as it OS and the other runs 98. When I try to play Uplink on the one with XP it runs too slow, and when I try to play on the 98 system, it seems to run too fast. Any Ideas?

one solution is to uninstall XP, repartition your hard drive (to remove NTFS) and install a copy of Linux

its my experience that linux really isnt worth it.
unless you barly ever play games on your pc you'll just be running a windows emulator most of the time anyway.
