But sequels are so common...and it's never as much fun the second time around.  Wouldn't you rather have an entirely new game? ;)

(Interesting question actually....)

Well, more of a good thing is always nice, but a totally different game would be nice.  It might be alittle more risky, but if it is as original as Uplink it could be great. :)

I think you should make an entirely new game, but first make the game totally modular, so anyone can change missions, hacking tolls, companies, campaigns, etc.  MODS 4 EVER

i was just thinking about uplink 2 and a total remake of it. i think a total remake of it would be good, but from the other side. by other side i mean through the eyes of a systems admin.
instead of getting jobs and hacking and  stealing files you have to defend your systems from hacker groups, buying new security software, helping out authorities like FBI, CIA etc in tracing criminals/hackers etc. i think this would bring a whole new perspective to the game.
with a little more input on this idea i think it could become fairly successful.
just on another quick note, maybe a choice of 2 campainges? Hacker or Sys Admin. both story lines cross with each other like Starcraft with the different races type thing.

what do you think? (not sure if its been said before, but probably has)

oops, this really should of gone to the other forum area sorry.

A totally new game would be good, but as long as it contained the same basics that made uplink so good.
Maybe a kind of 3d think like they said on the Introversion Server in game (128.128.128.128 for those who haven't a clue) I'm still playing uplink after finishing it I don't know how many times for both ARC and Arunmor. It's that adictive.

BTW Chris nice job. :)

Yeah, online Uplink could be the way to go. My head is spinning with the possibilities. No, I'm serious. My head is really spinning. It's a serious medical problem! </joke>
