Inbuilt IRC

Does anyone else out there get this working? Whenever I log on I don't seem to see anyone online (but it's probably my complete lack of knowledge of IRC that causes this).

I haven't downloaded the patch yet, so I can't help you here. I use mIRC, by the way.

i heard that it only works on win xp
i have the same problem but adam blacks right just use mIRC

You need to buy it from the INternal Uplink server. 4000 credits.
You also need to new updated user for the patch for this to work.

What OS you using? General reports would suggest that the IRC client won't function in any Windows except XP

connect to the internet first, then try the chat in uplink, it should work

Yeh I've done all of that but I use ME (I know it sucks but I would have to reformat it all... again to put XP on it unless I can find an upgrade XP...) oh well, I do have mirc but I never use it... Have to now, lol

I did it. it flickered olike hell, and i broadcast my nickserv password to the entire forum, cause it sent the /msg nickserv out.

man my irc dont work either but im with ME!!

i got some chat rooms but it dont connect!im gonna email introversion and ask them is they can fix this

The IRC Client works in Windows XP, 2000, and Linux. For some reason, it doesnt work on any Windows 9x, so those on 95/98/ME are out of luck.

Don't know about that XP cuz I have xp and it does not work.......how ever I know all about mirc and it may even be that you need to have mirc installed to get the irc option to work in the game I have not tried that option yet but I will and will post the results...............

Personally I use telnet, unless I'm dling files =)
