You have to buy it on Introversion's website. If you can't wait a few days while it's being shipped, download a warez version and play that until you get Uplink in the mail. It's not illegal if you already paid for it.
Government, even in its best form, is still but a neccessery evil; in its worst, an intolerable one.

Some people make software available to be downloaded from their servers straight to your computer, it's illegal to download this software unless you've a licence to use it (ie. already bought the software).
You could call it lazy software piracy.
But it's usefull for playing console games on your PC.

Well, think about all the added costs that would have to be added to the game if it were made available in the shops...
1: The cost of shelf space in each shop
2: The cost of a box or DVD case for the game
3: The cost of storage space and transport to shops
4: Probally would need a publisher to do this for them
5: Probally lots more costs that I don't know about
What would people prefer... The game as it is now, costing around £15, or the game in a shop costing around £29.99?
Either way, the game is avilable to anyone with two brain cells to rub together (favrote saying of the day, obviously). If you have a credit card, you can order it from WorldPay, if you don't then you can send in a money order with no problems. The only difference is that a money order will take slightly longer *shrug*
