Cake vs. Pie

On another message board I frequent, there's a debate on which is better: cake or pie. I would like to pose the question to the regulars of this board.

Personally, I prefer pie. Cake has 1 plus: frosting. All of the bread, though, makes you wanting for milk, and if you don't have any, that sucks.

Pie has only one negative: Crust. You can easily take that off of a pie, though. Pie comes in a variety of types. I like filling in my dessert. It gives the pie substance.

My vote is with pie. What do you guys think?

Cake, definitly. Cake is moist but most pies can be hard and/or dry.

Well I think your short changing the question.

You didn't ask whether you would rather have your favorite pie or your favorite cake.
You just asked which is better.

And I don't have a favorite pie or a favorite cake.
If I was offered a slice of every pie ever made I would choose something different everytime.
Sometimes I would choose pumpkin, sometimes pecan, key-lime, lemon-merange, cherry, strawberry, rubarb, strawberry-rubarb, or a number of others.

So you see, I couldn't answer either question.

Plus you can add very nice decorations to your cake... like a photo of your loved one... best score in basketball... or... even your best score in Uplink... *shrug*
