1 & 2)We don't like warez copies because they prevent honest companies who publish the game themselves and don't go out on a mass-marketing campaign from earning money to dish out another awesome hit.

Lemme point out something. You apparently got a warez of Uplink becuase you like it, yes? I'll assume that, since you liked it enough to 'procure' a copy, that'd you also like other games like it to come out. Well, if you 'warez' instead of buy, companies don't make the money to make a new version. Since a new, cool version doesn't come out, you can't even warez it. You miss out on a cool game because you think you're all cool for stealing a game.

Personally, I think that just makes you a poser.

3) I'll assume you 'warezd' Half-Life, too. Well, then you lessen your chances of getting another awesome FPS. I personally like these games, and I would like more to come out, so I GET OFF MY ASS AND WORK TO GET THE MONEY TO BUY THEM!!!.

'Warez Monkeys' think they're so cool for warezing a game, because they 'beat the system'. Just so you know, there IS NO SYSTEM! You aren't 1337 because you can download a file from a site.

lol you guys fink i get warez off sites? 1 If u read my prevoius post u will relise i got a warez copy while waiting for my proper copy to arrive. (took me agest to get my wifes credit card) 2. such games as operation flashpoint, and any other resent game realised by large corperate companys charge to much for the games, it cost about 75p for a cd 40p for a case 80 for paper and about 2 quid for shipping, so why the phuck pay £39 for a damn game

You're paying for the license to play the game. You're paying for the time it took for the person to write the game. If you fail to pay and acknowledge the work, then they stop doing it. Thus, no more games.

Qiuite the opposite, actually. All that makes an audio CD is a band and 3 techs in a recording studio.

A game, however take a bunch of programmers, de-buggers, and beta-testers.
