yup, that uplink music get's kinda boring after playing 5 hours nonstop ;) (no offense! the music in uplink is one of the best I've ever heard in a computer game, besides Quake 2)

Quote: from Blaine on 2:33 pm on Oct. 19, 2001[br]For all of its cheesiness/lameness I really did like the movie Hackers (I KNOW!!! I KNOW!!! But I can't hide from the truth...besides Mathew Lillard is hillarious and Johny Lee Miller was in Trainspotting so the cast is cool).

idea for next version of uplink,  that freaky 3d computer landscape they used to hack in that movie that could run full speed on a "sweet" 486 ;)

I personally like Underworld's Beaucoup Fish.  King of Snake is an awesome track.
I also listen to The Essential Selection Fatboy Slim/ Paul Oakenfold two-cd set.  Great music...

Anything by Aphex Twin is good... I tend to listen to "Parallel Lines" on repeat.
I think my mask of sanity is about to slip.

And he is just so much better live as well. :)

Most of the suggestions so far are good, maybe for a bit of 'Hackers' action play Scooter - Fire : /

Dahh, I guess I'm in the minority of people here who like mods.  =P  Even recognized the song in the demo as soon as it started.  (Yeah, I know...  "gee, give me a cookie" =P )

My picks?  Basically anything from FM (mods), my buddy MickRippon and all the standard mainstream techno stuff.  =P  Actually, I wish Guy Pratt would release the 'Grand Central Station' theme from hackers - excellent tune for this kinda thing.

Also if you're into game music, I find playing UL with lots of this stuff kinda fun: http://remix.overclocked.org

Nuthin like playing every game there is to the tunes of Megaman.     =

I usually listen to the Pi soundtrack while playing Uplink. Pi is a movie by Darren Aronosfky, the same guy who did Requiem For A Dream and who will do Batman 4. Excellent techno by Clint Mansell, really fits the Cyberpunk theme.

So far, at least in terms of the demo(I'm doubting I'll get the game for some time now), I've actually found the soundtrack to the old Genesis/Sega CD thing for Sonic CD to be not half bad.
Barring that, as the music gets bloody annoying after not long, a good movie soundtrack (First and second Crow, and especially Lost Highway here) seems to work quite well.
Or a gig of mp3's on a random playlist.

... *eyes Senso* And tell me where to find the Pi soundtrack. Pretty please?
Indeed.
