Hi,
I have registered, but it won't let me view the Community Forum where I believe this post is supposed to go. Everytime I start the game on Steam (either the regular game or safe mode) I get the same message:
"Prison Architect.exe has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution to the problem".
Then the game closes. I have read a bunch of posts, I have checked for my preference.txt file, re-installed the game several times, made a blank preference.txt file, updated Windows, updated my graphics card drivers to the latest version, checked the integrity of the game in steam...everything! I have posted my debug.txt below hoping for a fix.
Running Windows 10.

I, too, have this problem except I can run PA at least in Safe Mode. Bought it yesterday, Saturday, 2016-07-02, during Steam Summer Sale.
Don't know what else to contribute – it just crashes in Normal Mode every time just like jc1980 describes it. Tried to re-install the game, restarted Steam and PC. No help. Windows 10.
EDIT: Okay, as many have found out before me, it actually has a quite a simple solution – just update your drivers. It took my a while (I blame GeForce for that) but in the end a new download of GeForce Experience Centre (or something like that) did the trick. So yeah, guys – upload your drivers; that should do the trick. I did not even had to re-install the game or anything like that (though I've restarted the PC as a part of drivers installation).

I have a similar problem, updated graphics drivers too, still won't work. Copied this from another thread. Why is this game having so many problems all of a sudden! I can't recommend this game to any one at this point.
Same problem! I can Launch in safe mode, but not in standard mode, its really ticking me off. No crash dump or anything, just this:
