how to download mods from steam and steam key i don't have

how do i download modes from steam to prison architect i don't have a steam key nor have i connected prison architect with steam idk to all this please help me I'm just new to this stuff and want to download mods please help

Good question, I'm in the same boat. Must we need Steam for modding?

Good question, I'm in the same boat. Must we need Steam for modding?
Now you don't, you can download the mod files and put them in the mod folder, if the modder releases it somewhere besides Steam workshop.
