Blurry game - DPI settings

Hi there. I stopped playing PA at Update 4, and picked it up again after the Update 6.

I noticed that my screen was extremely blurry and low res. I tried changing a the settings in game, but nothing helped. I finally found an article in the steam forums telling me to go find the game .exe and right click to properties of the game, and then disable DPI settings in the compatibility window. This did the trick. I'm not sure if this qualifies as a bug, which is why I am posting it here, but like I said, this issue only started sometime between update 4 and update 6.


Also, I am unsure if this is related to disabling my DPI settings, but I also notice now that the colours are off in game. An example of this is the workers vests.... when I was playing back in Update 3, the vests where bright yellow, now I am playing in update 6 and the vests look like a piss yellow. The same can be said for the inmate colours. Normal sec looks off, and Max sec doesn't even look like red anymore.

I don't know if these two issues are related, but seeing as they are both graphic issues -- I don't believe in coincidences. If this is considered a bug, I don't have a problem reporting it on the bug tracker... but hopefully it will be fixed by the next update.

Ok, a bit of an update here.... The messed up colours appear to be a result of the weather that was added to the game. Disabled the weather option and the colours are normal again.

DPI still needs to be disabled tho in order to play the game without it being in Low Res.

I had trouble in Updates 5 & 6 and my game was unplayable due to the blurriness. I disabled Scale DPI in compatibility menu. Hope this helps! Bye!
