in the dev video showcasing the new addion of woman prisoners. i am wondering if the woman prisoners are more likely to have gang members or if it is the same chance as male prisoners.

This "new" addition of female prisoners actually happened in the middle of last december...

Anyway, you still have to activate gangs on the start new prison screen. Besides the chance of them bringing babies with them (which requires family cells and a nursery instead of a canteen for those inmates), female prisoners play just like their male counterparts. The devs said that womens behavior when fighting is somewhat different, but I didn't notice much of that really; the last big gang brawl in my female prison still left me to deal with a lot of dead bodies and wounded inmates and staff, just like it would with male inmates.
