[Suggestion] Punishment Time (solitary/lock-down) Format

Postby Zackattack34 » Sun Jan 03, 2016 7:03 pm

Hello all! Small idea on how changing the length of time prisoners get for different offenses works. Escape attempt,Major injury, Etc. Could it be possibly made so that instead of holding down the increase button for hours we could be able to type an amount into the number box? I'd like some long solitary stints but it takes forever to get the time to that number. Thanks!

Giving a prisoner more than 2.5 hours of Solitary is basically a waste, since their supressed status is completeley filled at 2 hours and 15 minutes. Having them in Solitary longer only makes them occupy a solitary cell that (at least in my prisons) is always needed for the next inmate who participated in the most recent gang brawls

Is it not true that prisoners who know they're facing a significant time in solitary are more likely to turn C.I.? I seem to remember seeing a chap prepared to snitch with eight hours left, but when I came to recruit him with six to go, he was no longer an option

It might be that the option to recruit a CI becomes more common with longer solitary times; that would have to be tested by someone. However, I never use more than 2.5 hours and I've got more than enough CIs in my prisons, you just have to look from time to time if there are new ones available.
