Fireman AI

Playing through the campaign for the first time since the alpha updates ended. I've never needed to use firemen before so not sure if this is new.

So firemen are meant to douse any flames that are nearby them. That's ok, but 'nearby' doesn't seem to go far. Shouldn't the firemen seek and follow the fire just a little bit?

yes they are to track fires to they can do they purpose

Just like workmen do stuff allover autonomously so do firemen track and kill fires yes!
->It would be bad if they didn't, I think.. Especially in escape-mode you need them to do it by themselves!

Maybe I was suffering from a bug then. In the riot campaign mission, the firefighters seemed to need constant supervision.

I think I misread/misunderstood, your comment up to now... :D

I haven't played much with them myself, but seen them run around escape mode plenty of late...

I actually like npc's that obey my command to the letter, would like more of that... I would love to be able to control the warden like that :)

But yeah in an emergency maybe not too great to have to micromanage the firemen.
