Expecting that this is a steam copy? Maybe verify game integrity or delete and reinstall it. Sorry about your troubles, try to hold out a bit for some more replies. This game is really good and I do believe they are doing a bug bash soon, it does have a lot.

http://support.introversion.co.ukLastly if it is steam then you can run it in "safe mode" which usually fixes these things but if it is not a steam copy then I unfortunately cannot help you much more and you will need someone else.
