The game is not designed with three dimensional rendering in mind. Everything in the game is rendered as a two dimensional sprite. Changing this would require (at the very least) (1) completely rewriting the graphics engine from the ground up, and (2) building new three dimensional assets from scratch. Neither task is trivial. It isn't going to happen.
