[Suggestion] reform program: first aid

Postby Gui9718 » Sat Jul 11, 2015 4:33 am

I will make a quick suggestion, why not have a reform program teaching first aid?

for that?

Simple, often until the prisoner come in infermaria he may be dead, or even the nurses arrive in prison, DIED.
To teach first aid to the prisoners they will be able to help in emergencies other prisoners.

About gangs.

In a guangue at least one prisoner will try to complete the "first aid" because it will be good in gang wars, obviously members specialized guangues will not cure other gangs and also will not cure a prisoner any, they will only heal members Your guangue. If guangue "Y" to see a prisoner any healing his rival guangue "x" will be quite possible the guangue "Y" attack the prisoner that it comes, and the chances of that happening when guangues are under guard guards will be much smaller .

What will be the intensity of this healing?

When the prisoner is near death and receiving first aid, ness of it not duminuir anger or cure, will be static until a nurse arrives on site, it is as if the prisoner was bleeding and specialized prisoner to stop the leakage of blood.

And also, sometimes I noticed that some prisoners when they are inconcientes to invez died they miraculously recover, with the aid primeros want it to be contrary except for resistant prisoners.

If there were any errors in writing sorry because I am using google tratdutor, thanks for reading :)

I'm currently chipping away at something like this for a Health & Safety mod which will include first aid boxes on walls, first aid training, CPR/AED training, etc.

Why?

Simple, often when the prisoner goes in infirmary, he may be dead, or even the doctors arrive in prison, DEAD.
If first aid is taught to to the prisoners they would be able to help other prisoners in emergencies.

With gangs.

In a gang at least one prisoner will try to complete the "first aid" because it will be good in gang wars, obviously members of specialized gangs will not heal other prisoners that are not in their gang, they will only heal members of their gang. If gang "Y" saw a prisoner healing rival gang "x", gang "Y" may attack that prisoner, and the chances of that happening when gangs are being guarded will be much smaller.

How effective is this healing?

When the prisoner is near death and receiving first aid, it will keep him from losing health until a doctor arrives, as if the prisoner was bleeding and specialized prisoner to stop the bleeding.

And also, I noticed that some prisoners loose health when they are unconscious but instead of recovering they die, but with the first aid I want it to be the opposite except for resistant prisoners.

If there were any errors in writing sorry because I am using google translate, thanks for reading :)

Ok, I agree with you, this would be a good reform program, and even a way to nerf (reduce the power of) gangs. But why only first aid? Why not add more advanced medical programs? maybe even letting prisoners work in the infirmary after taking a more advanced program. or even some prisoners being former doctors, EMTs, paramedics, etc.

Ooh, never thought of training prisoners for first aid. I'm still annoyed that the guards and doctors don't coordinate to move the injured prisoners to appropriate locations (e.g. out of and away from the crowd, or off the escape path and back into the prison) in good time, or have the doctors just mill around the infirmary rather than meeting the guards halfway to render first aid. Still want to see stretchers for severely injured prisoners or unconscious ones.

But training prisoners to be able to help other prisoners... that'd require some more fine-tuning for how fast injured prisoners get worse if nobody is tending to them in a timely manner. Bleeding out would be a thing.

There should be a match between the prisoner's general background and personality, and the type of skills they'd be willing to learn. Also, even first-aid-ready prisoners wouldn't help certain prisoners they dislike, I think.

Actually, having prisoners develop friends/allies and enemies/antagonists among the prison population should be a thing. Especially if the prisoners are acting on each other to help other prisoners.
