I'm wondering how this game will fair with...
A Boxing circuit: Prisoners gain reputation and time off by fighting other inmates. Sometimes an inmate is temporarily transported to your prison for a prison title match. Rewards are less time for prisoners, the prison gains income and a toughness reputation. The cons, prisoners may become stronger and potentially too much to handle for some of the guards.
Conjugal Visits: Pros" all needs are instantly met and inmate becomes more cooperative. Cons: prisoner may receive contraband or attempt escape by switching clothes.
Team Basketball and Football games played in the yard. Raises revenue for the prison but may produce prison rivalries and discontent.
Card games and dominoes played in the yard and commons room. Con: may cause fights due to sore losers.
Music events, holidays, and talent shows held in the Commons room. Schedule events for inmates that were on good behavior. Pro: satisfies needs and produces more cooperation from participating inmates (snitches). Con: May cause other inmates that didn't attend to be a bit disgruntle during the events.
Gangs certain prisoners will band together to take on other groups of prisoners for the control of contraband. Pros: Inmates become more predictable and reveling. Cons: guards and other inmates can be jumped if a member is threatened.
Any and all these ideas can be modified.
[suggestions] Inmate activities

Re: [suggestions] Inmate activities
I agree with these suggestions.
There should be more recreational activities: basketball for example is quite common in prisons
Another thing that people wouldn't expect is prison boxing. Check out Klong Perm prison. Just youtube thai prison fights

I think that a prison fight club would result in outside scrutiny. This might include boxing and prize fighting. For details, here's a news article about one such organised fight club in a prison in New Zealand: http://www.news.com.au/technology/gadge ... 7460776796
http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/crime/7 ... ith-inmate This is a later one, published in August.
Summary: Serco, a privately-owned prison company, which managed the Mt. Eden prison at the time, was forced to pay a $500k NZ fine for doing nothing about the fight club. They also lost their decision-making powers and the guards have to be paid as government prison guards. The NZ Department of Corrections investigated the company and dismissed a prison guard.
