Outdoor Window... not being recognized?

Postby Bromstine » Fri May 29, 2015 8:02 am

Is this working for you? I installed them in various positions, flipped them (even though there's no visible "face", one never knows...)

Nope. Outdoor Window is red in logistics. Maybe the outdoors is not outdoorsy enough?

Did work on my cells more to the center, not on those immediatly adjacent to my perimeter wall (i.e. where the perimeter wall would contain a window).

That would hint at some undisclosed environmental requirement. Some of my cells were right next to the next cell block (I always leave a two-square gaps between walls, workers can get stuck when trying to pass each other in one square). But others faced outside... *BUT* the two squares directly next to the cell block are paved. So maybe that's it.

No, paving is fine.

I'm having this problem too. All of my cells have windows that face outdoors, but none are being recognised.

did you ever have the building extended past that wall the window is on, if so then it would not be on an exterior wall, as the roof would over hang the window. i had that problem till i realized i had cut the foundation back but not "bulldozed" the foundation out.

I don't have this problem. What "outdoor" means empty space not in foundations, if it is facing the isle inside a foundation, it is not "outdoor".

Certain constructions can make it difficult to tell what is technically outside especially if it's an area that has been worked on several times over several saves. Recommend you drag the destruct foundation tool around the area. Everywhere it's green is inside, and red it's outside.

Otherwise, I'd suggest some screenshots of the problem areas. Could still be a bug.
