[Suggestion] Instant-Build Option

Sometimes I just feel like building, so to go along with the unlimited funds option, it would be cool to see an instant placement option where workers don't have to unload and build, and what you place appears as you place it. Sometimes I get fed up with waiting so long for workers to build large rooms, or forgetting to place things.

To me that spoil the game. Building and watch the workmen is part of the game to me. So why should everything these days need to be rushed?

i agree. it makes more sense. in fact it goes faster than it probably should unless you have a bunch of materials on site to handle the building which would be interesting. If they all had to be bought, ordered, shipped, etc then it should take longer.

Suggestion:
- hire more workers than the Original 8
- make a BIG delivery area ....
- call your map: nine-to-five or pro-work-means-pro-gress or anything funny sounding

And observe an anthill like bussiness.

Yeah I could handle a creative mode. Some times I just want to bang together a small prototype of something or other to see if the concept works - its annoying to wait for it to build. Just have it as one of the options to turn on/off before you start.

Creative mode (unlimited funds/materials/instant construction) in terms of Prison Architect would basically be a cheat that'd take away most of the game. Unless you'd be prevented from using a pre-built prison in the normal game modes, then I don't see how having instant/unlimited anything could be justified.

For the same reason that games like Space Engineers, Rollercoaster Tycoon and SimCity have it? Sometimes the game you want to play isn't about the about the construction, but about the finished product.

Sometimes I just want to build a prison that looks like X thing or see if 'such and such' design is possible or see if this system of gates/room positions/configuration/ works as intended.

The point is it's not meant to be the only type of gameplay, but I see nothing wrong with a creative mode.

I don't think this is such a terrible idea.
I mean it could be an added button under the Emergencies tab, it puts an overcharge to speed up construnction.
So if you speed up by 100%, 200%, or 300%, you'll have to pay 100%, 200%, or 300% more.

This would not decrease the challenge in normal mode and add a speed-up button for the infinite funding.

Forgive me if it was some mod I have that added an infinite funds option on the start menu.

also,
I do agree actually making the workers build is part of the game, but sometimes I just want to build, without waiting hours in real time for them to completely finish the prison. I dont feel like it would hurt anyone to have some kind of option like this.

I seriously see 0 reason why something like this should be added. It could work exactly the same as SE - when you start a sandbox world you can choose if it is creative or not. Obviously once there is a story mode, you wouldn't be able to use creative in it. The same goes for selling - prisons made in creative mode would be able to be sold.

I don't understand this reasoning. A game like Prison Architect can have scenarios or campaigns that create challenge, but there is nothing inherent to the form of the game that requires such a challenge. One does not need an externally imposed obstacles in order to enjoy playing with Legos, Brio trains, or Minecraft; why should one be required in order to enjoy Prison Architect?
