Variation on Free TIme: Free Time within Your Cell Block
I have started toying with the idea of building pod style prisons where I want my prisoners to have free time but I build the common rooms as part of the cell blocks. It would be very useful for me to be able to have a regime timeslot that worked like free time but would not permit prisoners to leave their cell block. In this case, I am wanting them to access the amenities of the common room but I might also have another security level of prisoners on a different regime that are maybe traveling through the halls and I don't want them to mix. Any suggestions?

This could also be implemented by my earlier idea of having cellblock-related deployment zones, or the logistic system expanded to link individual cell blocks to amenities other than canteens and laundries, such as common rooms and yards.

I Support this Idea/ Suggestion.

It could also be made more general so we could allow multiple regime options at the same time.
It would also help to seperate class and work and make visitation, library, chapel and parole seperate options too.

Ye I'd support this. In fact I wrote something called "shower time" the other day, floating around the forum somewhere, effectively calling for this.
Great minds think alike and all that (let's hope Chris is a great mind eh?)

I just made of suggestion about this because I also want this to happen with logistics, I explained why in the suggestion thread but in short for large prisons its a nightmare trying to keep things organised when your prisoners are traveling to the opposite side of the prison to go to a work place, yard, common room etc when they are right near one of those already but still choose to do the long walk.

To say nothing of the extra workload for the guards opening doors for them unnecessarily. I know we could probably emulate this with timed door locks, but I wanted them to be able to leave their cell block for visits if they need to.
