[Suggestion] Off-Road ATV Four Wheeler For Perimeter Patrol
For players with outer open spaces it'd be nice to unlock through the Chief of Security an off-road ATV four wheeler that guards could ride on and patrol the grounds faster. To acquire, it could be required that you'd need a small building / space to store them when not in use, or to return to gas up when fuel is low, or to change guards (if one gets tired). I can see it now, running down escaped prisoners who are fleeing from their tunnels! Any thoughts on this?

dont like the idea. you have to got a HUGE prison to make this work. it doesnt add that much.

Lol, convertible with rocket launcher!
I think it's a more elegant solution to guard dogs that are slow on the patrol for large areas. They wouldn't necessarily have to be armed guards but more like lookouts that alert you if something is going down.

personally i would like to see an extra function added to gaurd dogs....free roam....while set to free roam (deployed instead of patrol)
dog should be escorted to that area and than let loose....dogs on free roam should be very aggressive and obviously fast...typical use for this would be to set dogs to free roam your outer walls
Used this screenshot as an example...would be nice to set dogs loose in the area marked with a red line...currently i have 8 dog patrols out there

What about having ATVs catch prisoners that have already escaped from the map?
That way, apart from an optional animation of the ATV speeding off, not that much has to be done.
For every activated ATV (comes with a regular upkeep, can toggle by clicking on them), the chance of catching escaped prisoners increases.
So if you feel like a mass escape is imminent, just fire up a few ATVs and hope for the best.

I like both those ideas!
Re: [Suggestion] Off-Road ATV Four Wheeler For Perimeter Pat
i like the idea of an atv or suv patroling the perimiter, if an inmate gets loose the speed up, a couple of armed guards jump out and arrest or kill him
could reduce the number of guards needed, so increase performance
i don't like the idea when a prisoner has already escaped you can release atvs to find him... since he's out of your prison you already failed, it's out of your jurisdiction and it's the job of the police to find him

True true, once the prisoner is off the map that should definitely count against the prisoner, but if the prisoner is caught on prison property it's all good!Reeferken wrote:i don't like the idea when a prisoner has already escaped you can release atvs to find him... since he's out of your prison you already failed, it's out of your jurisdiction and it's the job of the police to find him

I'd love a roam free function, however leaving the dogs unattended would be a bit of a no no. I'd imagine that the dog would roam but generally stay within a fixed maximum distance of the handler, if they leave that distance the handler may try to call them, which may not work so he'll have to catch up but he's in no rush.
The only thing better would be a patrol, as in a group of guards and dog handlers that stick together but alas I don't see that happening any time soon, especially given this games general high value of guards since they are few compared to the prisoners. (Unless you run small profit margins)
