The only real problem I have with this update is that tunnels are almost impossible to find now. I know who's digging it, I know the exact prisoner and cell, but even if I search the friggin' toilet like 5 times in a row, the tunnel just won't be discovered, which seems very broken imho.

You can dismantle the toilet, if a tunnel is underneath it, it will be revealed.

They introduced starvation without fixing the cook AI (such as not washing trays) so that in large prisons (>400) you risk having a massive die-off.
They should not have introduced starvation before fixing the cook AI.

Thats why the bug bash is coming now. It will all get fixed i bet.

I played around with the process files and found that the trays problem is largely solved by setting clearing trays to the sink and then moving clean ones to the serving tables to High Priority, and then hiring an excess of cooks.

I would be glad to share the mod with whomever wants it; let me know.

I'd definitely like to add it to my collection of fixes. Is it on the Steam Workshop?

The only thing I find annoying about Alpha 25 is that searching a toilet no longer always reveals a tunnel, only prisoners with the 'clever' trait should be able to hide their tunnels (can prisoners become clever as they go to classes?)

No. Just No.

Don't like the new categories, then don't use them.

Actually an interesting aproach:

Giving the player a possibilty to train his/her staff or teaching the prisoners human basics,
so they may behave better after prison. Its up to the player. Nice !

I disagree with the "tunnel search" function. Finding tunnels is supposed to be hard- you are supposed to map out where they come from, and have to be strategic about which ones you dismantle. Why do you want to re-nerf them?

Can we close this thread down? All of the OP's criticisms/suggestions were terrible, which just about everyone agrees with.

Apart from threads not closing ever -
As said before, this is NOT a patch, but a lovely bunch of extra functionality in alpha...

This has been around at least since the last bug bash.

http://bugs.introversion.co.uk/view.php?id=4477

I noticed sometimes after a fight with a guard some prisoners have a job "Process Prisoner" which is when they are issued punishment and put in handcuffs and some never get this job. Only work around at this point is to manually assign them a punishment while they are being escorted which will put them in handcuffs so once they are healed they will be moved to solitary / lockdown.

Any chance you could PM me a link to this as well? Or maybe just link it here in the thread for everyone to try out?
I did try to find it on Steam, but I'm not sure if your Steam name is different to your forum name, or if I just failed my search-fu.
I also tried to PM you, but apparently I need to post more, or hang around for a while or something before I can do that.
