Any Reputation suggestions?
The Reputation update made me REALLY happy since it lays the groundwork for some stuff I want to see in the game and also really differentiates your prisoners some more. That said the list is a little short and I would love to see it grow in the future. I was thinking:
Thief: Super high chances of lifting contraband from rooms and fooling metal detectors and guards. Will sometimes become 'marked' for violence if caught stealing from a prisoner.
Pyro: This prisoner will eventually steal a lighter or find other means to create a fire. Once discovered it is very likely they will go into Supermax given that they can destroy a prison.
Procurer: This prisoner trades contraband and usually stays under the radar. Also guards tend to ignore them unless they try to escape since they are masters at bribing and blackmail.
Escape Artist: Digs faster and moves faster in tunnels (returning to their cell during shakedowns). Also during a riot they will damage doors faster.
Handicapped: This prisoner simply moves at about 75% the speed of other prisoners. Very few prisoners come in handicapped, but there is a small chance somebody severely injured will become handicapped.
Deranged: This prisoner will very often ignore needs like sleep, family, food or hygiene. It takes a lot of suppression to keep them in line and when they are also stoic they become a liability.
Reprehensible: This prisoner committed a crime on the outside world that makes them a target to both prisoners and guards.
Developmental Disability: Very poor comprehension during programs. Delayed reaction to the schedule.

it would be cool if these trait could be modded in... but think this is to hardcoded

child molestor; big big target by everyone
serial killer; will try to kill someone whenever he can when not noticed by you or guards... you can find him and blame him...
big mouth; will try to start a fight with just about anyone... without having to power to follow through
whiner; even when all needs are met he'll be complaining
wussy; will run and be supressed at the sight of any trouble... supression stays longer
schizophrenia; will change personality at random...
sleeplessness; always up at night, never rested, always being anoying
maybe add some diseases? not really traits but hey might aswell try
hiv; anyone in a fight with him could get it and will need frequent medical attention

I like all of your suggestions lugaru. Reprehensible is definitely a good idea, I'm just wondering how it would be different in game play terms from snitch or ex-law enforcement. I also like the procurer idea. I've thought for a while now that the (eventual) gang system should be heavily involved in contraband. A prisoner with this trait would be very useful for a gang to have, it could help distribute weapons to all of their members, or distribute drugs to the members that wanted them.

Someone with any sort of Mental/Developmental Disability wouldn't be in a standard prison or at the very least be in amongst 'normal' people as they would be classed as vulnerable. Also anybody with a mental illness that causes trouble because of it would get shipped out straight away because they aren't in control of themselves, which means the game would need to develop a Psychiatric Hospital.
I would forget anything to do with issues such as this, the developers would be walking into a minefield.
What they could do is say some people are unable to learn and leave it at that!

I think he's referring more to prisoners with ADHD and/or dyslexia.

Yeah, my thought was more like Dislexia or ADHD, not that people with very low IQ have not been imprisoned and executed but ugh, rather not think about it. I do really like the idea of diseases and it is one of my big wishes for this game... starting at lice (requiring screening new prisoners) and moving through inevitable stuff (food poisoning) and then stuff that would become a lifelong reputation like the ones you mention.

I liked many of the suggestions here. Above all the gang reputations!

b*tches !!! (name doesn't have to be this ofcourse)
but just some inmates who get slapped around by everyone for no appearant reason... not with the intention to kill but just for fun... so they require frequent medial attention
they could also be used as mules or be given the blame (used shank gets dumped in their room after a murder and they get blamed)

I was thinking the same thing, 'Escapists' totally should be added
(After watching the update video all I could think about was rewatching "Ripping Yarns" "Escape from Stalag Luft 112 B")
Major Errol Phipps, was a legend among prisoners of the first world war, he had attempted over 560 escapes, 200 of them before he left England. On arrival in Germany he escaped regularly everyday, and twice a day at weekends.
I would love to have that kind of a character in my prison, especially if he had a habit of getting caught and brought back to your prison EVEN IF he managed to escape repeatedly in the past.

What about guard reputations?
Just as you get tough prisoners, surely you will have a couple of tough guards.
There could also be guards that overlook mobiles, cigs and alcohol.
Maybe guards that aggravate prisoners...

ADHD is still classed as Psychiatric Disorder. I don't mean to nit pick but I'm Autistic (specifically Aspergers) and know all about it so I can't help but try to help!

Briber:
Has a 50-50% chance to get half of the usual time during punishments ( Normal: 20 hours Briber; 10 hours )
Pickpocket:
has a chance to steal stuff from prisoners / guards. This means be could pickpocket a lighter from a prisoner and keys from a guard but if he gets caught picnpocking a prisoner he will become a ' target ' and if he is caught pick pocketing a guard then it's punishment.
Scared:
Makes his reluctant to interact with prisoners or be with them, has had a previous experience of prisoners which was negative. He is a easy target for prisoners.
Will add more asap

And thus why the suggested reputation is Developmental Disability. It's not about specifics, but the side effects of those common learning disabilities
