Game wont save

My prison just wont save. It started yesterdag (august 30)
is this a bug others have seen, or can anybody please help me?

This is a confirmed bug as of Alpha 24 (and in some cases 23). The only way to definitely save is to wait for autosave to save the game and then quit I guess you found out the hard way, as did I.

not even autosave works for me. i've played 6-7 hours today, and nothing has been saved.

Same happened to me i lost 4 hours of work on my prison and now i have to start from scrath i have to redo everything.. have to re add my servos repath my guards.. i also lost a boatload of people that had the workshop safety course completed and were learning carpentry

Overwriting saves is borked, but if you specify a new filename it will save correctly, as a workaround.

Please download the very latest version (alpha 24c, note the "c")---a hotfix for this problem was released earlier today.

Apparently its not on steam.

Try setting the game's update settings to High Priority:
Steam library > Prison Architect > Right-Click > Properties > Updates tab > Automatic updates drop-down list > High priority.

Otherwise, try restarting Steam.

Neither option worked, but deleting local content and re-installing did.

I'm the author of the bug report you mentionned. The report has been closed because 5 users said that the bug is fixed. But, I still have this problem... So RGeezy911 told me to continue the discussion here to resolve this problem with the maximum details as possible. So let's do this ^^ :

Version of PA : alpha 24c steam
OS : Windows 8 64bit
CPU : i7 4770S
Graphic card : GTX 760 3go

Debug.txt (I load my save, then saved it, then saved it with another name) : https://www.dropbox.com/s/1j3eo7026d3az ... g.txt?dl=0

I've found in the debug.txt this line : "Failed to remove existing save file, keeping temporary save file 'C:\Users\Hélios\AppData\Local/Introversion/Prison Architect/saves/Modern Prison.prison-temp'..."
and : "Failed to create a new save file, keeping temporary save file 'C:\Users\Hélios\AppData\Local/Introversion/Prison Architect/saves/Test.prison-temp'..."

The screenshot is updated but the .prison can't be created.

I've also tried giving PA the administrator's right but it still can't create .prison...

That's it ^^.

Try going to your save folder and deleting the temp file. Then try again.

I still have the same problem ^^. It looks like the game can't create a .prison file but there's no reason...
